Al Bilad Arabia proudly announce that GlobalSantaFe Saudi Arabia, its affiliated partner, successfully concluded the first 3 month of operations of its 4 offshore rigs under long term contract with Saudi Aramco.
The four rigs are operating on the waters offshore Tanajib and Ras Tanura. The operations commenced for the 4 below named rigs as follows:
High Island IV: Mid May, 2007
Main Pass I : Mid July, 2007
Main Pass IV: Last week of July, 2007
High Island II: Last week of July, 2007
The number of operating and support personnel employed for these operations is about 450 people including a good number of Saudis.
Al-Bilad Arabia Company Limited secures SAP & IT business with a major Oil/Gas Company for the coming seven years
A major Oil/Gas Company has chosen Al-Bilad Arabia Company Limited as one of the preferred vendors to do IT & SAP business with for the coming five years under one big frame contract.
This is a major achievement for our company to be selected among few companies to deal with this important client for the coming five years and further illustrates our commitment to grow steadily and to provide the best possible IT & SAP Services to our clients, said Tawfik Chilmeran, IT Services Manager, Al-Bilad Arabia Company Limited.
I must mention here that the initiative of this project award was kicked-off back in April 2007 when we received the “Request for Information, RFI” on this project. Only with excellent “team work” by most of our ABA staff here at Al-Bilad’s office and with the great assistance by some of our consultants, we managed to come up with a professional response to this RFI. Based on that, we were qualified to be invited for the commercial proposal.
We had the direct involvement and full attention/support from our President/CEO (as well as our VP & DGM) in the preparation for the commercial bid. With his guidance, we came up with a proposal that was immediately approved.
I would like to thank everybody who participated with us in this big bid. Only with your support, we managed to get selected by our client, concluded Tawfik.
Al-Bilad Arabia Company Limited was represented by its DGM, Mr. Mohamed B. Al-Suweidan, at the contract signing ceremony which took place on Saturday 17th Nov 07.
